John Deere Goat Child's Model Farm Wagon Pedal T Tractor Car International Ford

  

This is a scarce and very desirable John Deere goat wagon replica. It is a commemorative item that Deere dealers offered sometime in the early 1970's or so. This is a modernized replica of a 1917 John Deere junior wagon.

This wagon measures 42-3/4 inches long without the tongue. The tongue itself measures 36 inches long.

The front wheels measure 13-1/2 inches in diameter while the larger rear wheels measure 19-1/2 inches in diameter. The overall width of both axles is 27 inches. The top of the seat is 30-3/4 inches above the floor.

The seat is 19 inches wide overall. This genuine wood seat, wood box sides and wood box floor are removable from the very accurate wooden running gear as you can see in the later photos of this listing. The one piece wheels are cast from aluminum. The color of the wood seat, box and floor is considerably darker than the famous John Deere green. The wheels are a nice deep maroon which is deeper than it shows in the flash photos.

This gem has never been outside, weathered or even sun faded at all. There are several paint chips on the wood box sides near the vertical front and rear steel lined bolsters as you can see in these photos. This happened when an unknowledgeable previous owner had no idea how to line up and set the box on the running gear properly.

Those paint chips could be touched up but I will leave that option to the new owner. This wagon is really too valuable to be used as a children's toy. It would look great in any toy or John Deere memorabilia collection. It would also look great in a large living room filled with appropriately sized dolls or flowers.

The last photo of this listing shows almost the same wagon painted Ford agricultural blue and gray. That wagon has a rounded dash rather than the nicely sculpted dash that was used on these John Deere wagons. I have a network of friends and haulers that travel throughout the USA and Canada.
